@Jon (Customer Success Lead) I added you to the call with Joe's counterpart in Boston -- I'd like to do the full NYCA platform demo with me doing scope builder and you doing the bidding stuff.
I am also looping in Marla from IMT to the meeting. You should check out this video of Marla and I prepping for this.
Marla is going to be a dot connector to point out how the work we are starting in DC with them on vendor matchmaking could ultimately connect to the full NYCA platform.

can you make this call btw Jon? (really want to speak to fuly bid work flow and I am not yet upt to speed on running that part of demo)
Jon (Customer Success Lead) — 2026-03-27 12:48
Short answer is yes... long answer is my kids are off that week and I'd like to take off as much as I can, but we'll be with family where I also have back up childcare. With NYCA launch I also am expecting I may need to do a day or two. I need to sort our my whole schedule but I believe I can make this.
Marc (CRO) — 2026-05-05 21:34
or perhaps nibbling. There is a difference. And on my springbreak fishing trip I got a bunch of bites but only Sophie and Leo caught any fish.
I need to align with Marla on this pricing thing....I have said multiple times that we want to do a rev share with the NGO's... but Boston wants to try to budget for something maybe?
From Joe's Chavez's Boston counterpart:
Thank you for meeting with us last month to share your momentum tool. It was really exciting to see and I think it could be very useful here in Boston. I wanted to follow up on two things:
Marc, do you have any generic pricing info on Momentum?
Marla, do you have a better sense of what aspects might be rolled into the offerings for Hubs through the PATH project? And do you think it makes sense to have a follow up meeting with Meredith from BE+ to discuss?
We are doing our budgeting and scoping projects for the next fiscal year and getting info on these two pieces would be very helpful for our planning. Let us know if it would be helpful to set up a follow up meeting.

@Bomee (CEO / Coder) I need to talk to the boston folks about this Monday... want to pick your brain about this... sent you an invite for monday am

Boston call went well.
I sent the boston partners this email (slightly) in advance of the convo...https://app.hubspot.com/contacts/21122440/record/0-1/228851/view/1?engagement=109482279762&type=INCOMING_EMAIL... and then we discussed.
Biggest positive signal: convo shifted from "is this interesting?" to "how do we structure and operationalize this?"
Key takeaways:
Hannah (joe Chavez counterpart) sees real value for helping condos/multifamily owners move from BERDO compliance -> actual retrofit decisions/projects.
Procurement constraints are MUCH lighter than expected (<50k pretty manageable; MOA possible with no procurement if mostly partnership/staff support).
Hannah has potential FY27 budget (~100-150k range). Goal is to scope direction in June (including an in-person whiteboarding session in Boston) so they can feel comfortable allocating FY27 funds (July 2026 - June 2027).
C15 is already an approved MA MWBE, which may allow a more streamlined procurement path even for larger amounts (~150k), though mechanics/details still need to be verified.
BE+ is interested, but wants internal alignment first because they already have BE Connects + broader MA/statewide roadmap efforts.
BE+ scope is MA-wide. They are thinking Boston -> Cambridge -> Newton -> broader statewide expansion over time (though Cambridge BEPS currently excludes residential).
The "human + technology" framing resonated strongly.
Main things still to solve:
Define a tighter pilot scope (who, what buildings, what workflows, what success looks like).
Explain "case management" more concretely operationally.
Clarify how Momentum complements vs overlaps with BE Connects.
Continue simplifying the transaction-fee story ("we only materially make money if projects happen").
Keep emphasizing this strengthens local ecosystem/humans rather than replacing them.
Marc (CRO) — 2026-05-11 15:28
BE+ goals:
Build scalable MA-wide infrastructure/ecosystem tools.
Avoid duplicate/conflicting platforms.
Maintain neutrality/trust with vendors and partners.
Boston goals:
Help owners actually decarbonize, not just comply/report.
Scale technical assistance without massively scaling staff.
Pilot practical workflows/tools quickly.
Overall: strong alignment philosophically. Now mostly about pilot definition, ownership structure, and operational clarity.

@Marc (CRO) what is BE+
Marc (CRO) — 2026-05-11 21:37
the former MA USGBC chapter that rebranded -- and is hte local Hub partner that IMT is working with
https://builtenvironmentplus.org/
They also have this existing connector tool that is a version of what IMT was doing.. .except their tool has been focused on new construction
https://connects.build/
They also want any work to go beyond the city of boston to extend to their other work in MA.
This quote from Meredith at BE+ probably merits digging into further:
39:56–40:26 in the transcript, when Building Energy Exchange's Meredith/Ethan says the tool should probably "live on the exchange" so it can become broader than just Boston:
"From a technical standpoint, it would make sense for this thing, I think Hannah, to live on the exchange and then — and be linked to from the city so that it becomes a more statewide resource as opposed to just a Boston resource.
(I don't know what she means by "live on the exchange" but clearly important to her to have her site remain central)
Bomee (CEO / Coder) — 2026-05-12 03:12
She can fuck right off. If she could do it, they would be calling her, not us. The answer to "statewide" is we are national. The answer to 'live on the exchange' is this is not spec development - it's an existing platform. You can link to it. I'll call up Cambridge right now and get them on board if necessary.
